NWDAA Rules for use of Facebook and Websites . [No. 27]
Objective.
To give guidance on the use of non-NWDAA communication platforms, as these may encourage eg: poaching, trespassing or other undesirable activities by third parties on NWDAA waters.
Guidance
1. This is a closed group for NWDAA members
2. By participation in NWDAA website and/or its face book page you agree to these group rules as the primary aim is to communicate internally only with your own members, concerning our Waters and interesting facts you may wish to share.
3. These groups are set up in a spirit of informal communication amongst a group of persons sharing the same common interest. It is not the intention that there ought to be an overly legalistic approach towards its operation.
The following have to be adhered to :
a. The taking of photographs for internal publication within our own Website and Facebook pages is acceptable as these communication platforms are set up to mainly discuss angling related issues.
b. However, in the main, the use of video footage is prohibited and only in very special circumstances can any videos be taken eg to provide evidence in the case of an emergency or accident/incident or a wildlife sightings of special interest. THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE GENERAL FISHING ACTIVITIES WHERE A PHOTOGRAPH SHOULD SUFFICE, AGAIN - IF OF SUFFICIENT INTEREST.
IF IN DOUBT THE TRUSTEES MUST BE INFORMED FOR APPROVAL BEFORE ANY UPLOADING ONTO OUR SITES - THERE MUST BE NO UPLOADING ONTO ANY OTHER NON NWDAA SITES EG, U TUBE, OTHER FACEBOOK SITES. ETC.
c. Any opinions expressed are the opinions of individual members and the Group administrator[s] are not responsible for comments posted by individuals.
d. If your message is not relevant to the majority of the group and relevant only to one, or a very small number of individuals then please just contact them individually and not the entire group through Facebook or Website.
e. Avoid inappropriate posts such as the use of inappropriate language, insults, voicing of grievances etc. These types of posts must be directed initially through the Trustees if necessary at all!
f. In the event that there is a breach of these rules the Trustees reserve the right to remove the Member from the groups[s] and may take further action if deemed necessary.
g. Participation is not obligatory and you can leave or join the groups at your will but the Trustees see these platforms as a good tool provided the rules are adhered to and the main topics are angling related. PLEASE RESPECT EVERYONE’S PRIVACY
h. Please use your discretion and avoid communicating any information obtained from within the group, or elsewhere, which might lead to encouraging: poaching, trespass or other undesirable activities as stated in the objective.
